This command lets you engage in a private chat with another user. This
private chat works just like a regular ASCII chat, using a
character-by-character interface, meaning you see what is typed as it is typed.
These types of chats can only involve two users at a time (you and another
user), although there can be many seperate private chats going on
simultaneously.
This command has two functions depending on when it is used. If no user
has recently requested a chat with you, the command will send a request to the
specified user asking for a chat. It is then up to the other user to respond
to the request. When they do so, the chat will be initiated (which can happen
rather abruptly, so be prepared). They may also deny the chat request.
If another user has recently requested a chat with you, then issuing this
command to that user will engage the chat instantly. If you have recently been
asked to chat, and wish to request a chat with somebody else instead, you must
first deny the chat request with the DENYCHAT command.
In both cases, the command is issued like this:
CHAT <user>
or
/C <user>
<user> is the name or partial name of the user that you wish to chat with.
